This insurance will protect the policy holder against the loss which may be incurred in the event that the stallion becomes totally and permanently impotent, infertile or incapable of serving mares as a result of an accident, sickness or disease which occurs during the policy period.

For Thoroughbreds only, this insurance protects the policy holder against the loss which may be incurred during the First season at Stud in the event that the stallion is proven infertile due to the inability to breed mares, or an abnormality of his semen.

Subject to the mare being insured under a base plan for her own mortality, we can protect the policy holder against loss in the event of the foal failing to be born alive and/or survive through to 30 days after birth. This policy does not cover the risk of multiple pregnancy.
