Our base plan will cover your horse for DEATH or Humane Destruction resulting from an accident, injury, illness or disease plus THEFT or STRAYING, in addition to coverage whilst travelling by ROAD.

Coverage of the base plan is extended to include reimbursement of up to $10,000 or $15,000 of covered expenses for surgical procedures performed for a life-threatening illness, injury or condition.

Coverage of the base plan is extended to include reimbursement of up to $5,000 or $10,000, (dependant upon the premium paid), for emergency abdominal surgical procedures.

INTERNATIONAL AIR TRANSIT

Coverage of the base plan can be extended to include cover for the animal whilst on board or being loaded onto or unloaded from an aircraft licensed for passenger and or cargo carrying, from aerodrome to aerodrome whilst being transported between the Geographical Limits listed on the policy. This insurance will protect the policy holder against the loss which may be incurred in the event that the stallion becomes totally and permanently impotent, infertile or incapable of serving mares as a result of an accident, sickness or disease which occurs during the policy period. Read more.

For Thoroughbreds only, this insurance protects the policy holder against the loss which may be incurred during the First season at Stud in the event that the stallion is proven infertile due to the inability to breed mares, or an abnormality of his semen. Read more.

Subject to the mare being insured under a base plan for her own mortality, we can protect the policy holder against loss in the event of the foal failing to be born alive and/or survive through to 30 days after birth. This policy does not cover the risk of multiple pregnancy. Read more.
